A MESSAGE FROM THE HEADTEACHER

This Handbook should help to keep all parents up to date on school matters and provide you with as much information as possible in one place.   Please take the time to read it and then keep it for reference.  Even better, let us have your reactions to it and how we might improve it in future years.

 

The aims and values of Flax Bourton Primary School are:

 

Flax Bourton’s objective is to provide an excellent education to each of its pupils in a happy and supportive family atmosphere.

 

To achieve its objective, Flax Bourton will:

 

- provide a safe, caring environment for learning and play;

 

- provide pupils with a balanced education covering the National Curriculum;   

 

- motivate pupils to achieve high standards in everything they do;

 

 - involve the parents in decisions on their child’s education.

 

Our pupils are encouraged:

 

- to reach their full potential in all areas of the curriculum;

 

- to accept personal responsibility and to have respect for themselves and others;

 

- to involve themselves fully in school life;

 

- to enjoy their time at school.

 

You can help us to achieve our objective through the support you give to your child, the staff, the School Association and to the school generally.  As we are a small school, the staff and governors of the school very much appreciate your support – it can make a big difference.
